Roamic eSIM Review – Founded in 2021 by the company Byte Travel, the Spanish provider Roamic offers an extensive selection of data plans for over 170 countries and regions. The provider advertises fast installation and a seamless mobile internet connection.
We took a closer look at the provider and its offering and would like to share our experiences with you to help you decide whether Roamic is the right provider for you. We checked how easy it is to install, how varied the range of tariffs is, how good the network coverage is in the various countries, how user-friendly Roamic is and how reliable the customer service is. Data Plans and Prices at Roamic
Roamic offers two types of data plans:
Limited data plans: Here you choose a package with a certain data volume for a certain period of time, e.g. 10 GB for 30 days. Here you have 10 GB available for a period of 30 days. If you do not use up all the GB, they will expire.
Unlimited data plans: With unlimited data, you simply specify the period for which the tariff should be valid and you can then surf the Internet as much as you want during this period. These tariffs are usually a little more expensive.

There are country-specific tariffs, regional data plans, for example for a specific continent or part of a continent (South East Asia) and worldwide data plans.
Country plans: Limited, unlimited or pay-as-you-go plans that are valid in a country of your choice
Regional: Regional plans usually cover several countries. Regional plans can often be used for an entire continent (Europe) or parts of a continent (South East Asia). The plans are particularly practical for backpackers
Worldwide: A worldwide eSIM is not yet available from Roamic.
Installation and Activation - Roamic eSIM Review
Setting up a Roamic eSIM is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. However, before you install your eSIM, you should check whether your cell phone is eSIM-enabled and “unlocked”.
Now select the data plan with the desired data volume for your destination.
Once you have chosen the right plan, pay using one of the payment methods offered.
Immediately after the payment method, you will receive an email containing the QR code for installation. Scan the QR code with a second device and add your eSIM profile to your smartphone.
The SM-DP+ server address for manual installation is also included.
You can carry out the manual installation as follows:
- Receive activation code: After purchase, you will receive an e-mail from Roamic with your personal activation code and all the important set-up information.
- Open the settings: Open the settings on your smartphone and go to the “Mobile ” or “Mobile data” section .
- Add tariff manually: There, select the option to add a new mobile tariff manually.
- Enter data: Now enter the activation code and all other required details from the email.
Automatic setup is possible for iPhones. Simply click on the installation link provided in the e-mail and follow the instructions.
Your eSIM profile is now installed. However, your data plan will not be activated until you arrive in your destination country when your phone connects to a local mobile network for the first time.
IMPORTANT: Roaming and mobile data must be activated in order to use the mobile data on your eSIM.

Roamic works with well-developed, renowned local mobile network providers and uses more than one network in most countries. This provides security and you can count on a stable connection and good coverage.
Speed – Roamic eSIM Review
The 5G network can be used whenever the local network allows it. This depends on the expansion of the local provider’s network. In the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan, for example, the 5G network can be used in many areas. Some countries are not yet ready to roll out the 5G network. A 4G network is used there

Calls/SMS and Hotspot Use - Roamic eSIM Review
The Roamic plans are pure data tariffs. Classic telephony and sending/receiving text messages are not possible. However, if you want to make calls, you can do so via common apps such as WhatsApp and FaceTime or use your regular SIM for calls.
Mobile hotspot
Hotspot use is not restricted with Roamic. This means you can connect to other devices with your smartphone and use your mobile data with a laptop, for example. This is not a matter of course, as some providers limit usage.

In our experience, Roamic is a very good eSIM solution. Installing the virtual cards is quick and easy and you get a stable connection with good network coverage at more than affordable prices. The selection of tariffs is very extensive and the website is easy to navigate. In addition, the customer service is competent and responsive.
Although an iOS or Android app is not yet available, this does not detract from the quality of this provider. In our eSIM experience, Roamic is one of the best providers in terms of value for money. Here you get good quality for little money.
