How to get there?<\/h2>\n

From Manuel Antonio we made our way to Montezuma, Costa Rica. In order to get to Montezuma you will have several possibilities<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. With the bus to Puntarenas and from there you take the fairy. The fairy takes approximately1,5 hours to Paquera, from Parquera you have to take another Bus that goes via Tambor and Cobano to Montezuma. The ferry crossing cost 810.00 Colon (1.20 Euro) per person. From Parquera the bus takes another 1,5 hours to Montezuma. Because of the long duration of the journey I rather recommend option two.<\/li>\n
  2. Take the Bus from Manuel Antonio to Jaco and from there you proceed with a watertaxi to Montezuma. The water taxi is with 40 Dollars per person a little more expensive however you will save a lot of time as the transfer from Jaco to Montezuma takes only 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Montezuma<\/h2>\n

    Montezuma is a very chilled and laid back place. Plenty of backpackers, dropouts and other travelers hangout on bonfires at the beach in the evening or spend their nights drinking in one of the bars. The Montezuma beach can certainly not compete with the beaches of the Caribbean coast or the ones of the Manuel Antonio Park but it is still well worth seeing. The city is pretty quiet and spreads a very pleasant vibe. The best thing to in Montezuma in my opinion is to do nothing but relax. From the city center you can easily hike to the Montezuma waterfall that is just a short hike away. The hike is not very demanding and one will be rewarded with beautiful scenery and the possibility to refresh oneself under the waterfall.<\/p>\n

    Restaurants<\/h2>\n

    Ylang Ylang:<\/span> Very nice restaurant with delicious dishes for vegans, vegetarians and seafood lovers
    \nCocolores:<\/span> Simply delicious just go there and try it
    \nKalibo:<\/span> Little restaurant across the bus stop. Here you get typical Costa Rican and international dishes.
    \nOrganico:<\/span> Suitable for Vegans and vegetarians but a little pricier.
    \nPuggos:<\/span> we ate here on our first evening all i can remember is that the food was very good and fresh.<\/p>\n

    Acommodation<\/h2>\n

    As we arrived in Montezuma almost all of the hotels were either fully booked or very expensive. Luckily we stumbled into the hotel Aurora, which was a very nice place with an average Standard at a decent price. The double bedroom was at 28 Euro per night.<\/p>\n

    Party<\/h2>\n

    Parties in Montezuma are very relaxed and basically ongoing. That does not mean that you have loud music and people getting completely wasted every night but you will always find a nice Reggae party or a get together on the beach with some people playing the guitar just having a few beers and enjoying life. Everything is very laid back and without any unnecessary stress.<\/p>\n
